Commander

Connie Gallaway

The Commander leads and presides over American Legion Post 200, chairs all post meetings, and represents our veterans before the community and the Department of Texas. The Commander sets the vision for the post's programs and ensures our mission of serving veterans and the community is fulfilled.

1st Vice Commander

The 1st Vice Commander supports the Commander and assumes post leadership in the Commander's absence. A primary focus of this role is membership — recruiting new members and retaining existing ones — to grow Post 200's ability to serve the veteran community.

Adjutant

James Henderson

The Adjutant serves as the post's secretary and administrative officer. This role maintains membership records, handles official correspondence, and ensures the post operates in accordance with American Legion bylaws and procedures. The Adjutant is the organizational backbone of Post 200.

Larry Freed

The Finance Officer manages the financial affairs of Post 200. This includes maintaining accounts, processing transactions, and providing regular financial reports to the post membership. The Finance Officer ensures responsible stewardship of post funds in service of our veterans and community programs.

Judge Advocate

The Judge Advocate serves as the post's legal advisor and parliamentary authority. This officer ensures post activities, elections, and decisions comply with American Legion bylaws, the post constitution, and applicable law. The Judge Advocate may also assist members with legal questions related to veterans' benefits.

The Sergeant-at-Arms maintains order during post meetings, manages the color guard during ceremonies, and assists with the security and flow of post events. This officer ensures that meetings are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner befitting our veteran community.

Service Officer

This officer assists veterans and their families in filing VA claims, accessing benefits, and navigating the federal veterans' services system. If you are a veteran in need of assistance, the Service Officer is your first point of contact.

The Hall Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Post 200 facility. This includes managing hall rentals, coordinating with vendors and tenants, and ensuring the post home remains a welcoming and well-maintained gathering place for veterans and the community.
